Hi, I’m Holly Taylor, LMSW, a clinical social work candidate under the supervision of Elizabeth Newsom, LCSW-S. Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. I’m honored to be part of Realistic Expectations, PLLC, where I share in the mission of creating a safe, supportive space for healing—especially for communities that are often overlooked, misunderstood, or misrepresented.
Are you navigating mid-life, retirement, or wondering what comes next? Have you experienced grief, loss, or major life transitions? Do you identify as queer, poly, kink, or LGBTQ+? Are you feeling anxious, or noticing changes in your overall happiness and well-being? You're not alone — and you don't have to figure it out on your own. Together, we can explore what it means to thrive as you continue to grow and evolve. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems (parts work), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Method — tailored to meet your unique needs.
I have over a decade of experience working with older adults and the elderly, particularly supporting caregivers and individuals affected by dementia. As we age, we often face significant transitions — including grief, loss, and unexpected life events that can shift our goals and long-held plans. These experiences can bring up feelings of sadness, anxiety, fear, and even internal or relational conflict. Processing these changes in a healthy, meaningful way is essential. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate these challenges and build the tools and strategies needed to create outcomes that feel empowering and aligned with their values.
Thank you,
Holly
