Therapeutic Approach
I firmly believe it's important to collaborate with the client about their goals and healing. It is not my place to decide what "progress" is, but rather my job to help you see your progress when you can't. It's additionally not my place to decide what healing should or should not look like for you. It is my job to help you develop the tools that you need to heal you. I'm here to witness and empower. You are the expert at you, I'm just here to help you access or see things that you either forgot, never got introduced to or had to protect to survive. I will never be able to fully understand what it is to be you, but I do have a good deal of lived experience of my own, witnessing for others and my imagination can help me view things that may be outside of my grasp. I'm also very open to learning new things and acknowledging when I don't know. It's not your job to be my teacher, but please know, I'll be the first to admit when I need it and will actively seek it out (it = education, consultation, etc).
Please review the list of trainings I've completed (or am currently in progress) over the years. Full disclosure, I did complete the required work to be an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, however I ultimately opted not to submit my paperwork and fees. I am not comfortable discussing it here, but will gladly have a conversation with anyone interested in asking.
